Sumatra Mandheling
Mandheling is a term derived from the Mandailing people of the region. Located in the northern part of Sumatra the rich volcanic soil produces some of the world's best coffee. Coffee farms in this region grow at high altitudes, 2,500 to 5,000 feet above sea level in Mount Leuser National Park.
Coffee farmers in the Mandheling region are known for their commitment to sustainability and ethical farming practices. They use sustainable farming methods such as shade-grown coffee and intercropping.
