Bali
Among the archipelago nation of Indonesia lies its hidden jewel, the island of Bali. In the 1970's and 1980's the government enacted programs to help rejuvenate coffee production. With the distribution of coffee seedlings to local farmers, an island wide coffee growing campaign began. Coffee tree varieties include a high percentage of Bourbon and Typica (variants of Arabica), along with shade trees such as Erythrina, Albizia, tangerine and orange. The Subak Abian is a traditional farming structure organization currently growing and processing coffee. The “SA” oversee both agricultural technology and religious activities. The promotion of improved coffee growing practices is expected to enhance not only agricultural technology but social and economic standing in Bali as well.
Harvesting & Processing
Bali Blue Moon is harvested in May-July, and processed naturally via patio drying. This process can take 3-6 weeks, during which the coffee cherries are constantly watched over and turned to achieve a final product free of irregularities and consistently dried.

Roasting
We roast Bali Blue Moon in house to a Medium Roast level. This brings out the unique characteristics of the coffee.
